3D Printing Policy

1. Policy Scope
   3D printers are available for use by all University of Utah students, faculty, and staff only. Self-use printers are available on a first-come first-served basis.
2. Policy
   The library's printers may not be used to create material that is: Prohibited by local, state, or federal laws
   Prohibited by University Regulations or in violation of Library Patron Policies & Responsibilities
   Is unsafe, harmful, dangerous, or poses an immediate threat to the well-being of others
   In violation of intellectual property rights
   
   The library's printers must be used consistently with manufacturer's specifications and with posted approved material.
3. Fees
   Students, faculty, and staff will be charged by weight of print when using library provided material. Additional fees may be charged for use of specialty printers.
