We support University of Utah students, staff, and faculty in their interdisciplinary research and productivity, with an emphasis on arts and design, multimedia production, prototyping technologies, multimodal communication, and experiential learning.

The Katherine W. Dumke Fine Arts & Architecture Library is devoted to supporting exploration in the creative fields. Come explore our unique collections focused on Fine, Performing, and Media Arts, Architecture, Planning, and Design.
Wrapping around the Fine Arts & Architecture Library, Katherine's Courtyard provides students and the University community with additional study, relaxation, performance, and exhibition space on two levels.
Marriott Library's ProtoSpace provides the University of Utah community with access to a wide variety of prototyping tools for ideation, creation, and fabrication.
UofU students, staff, and faculty can use our hands-on 3D printers, scanners, and slicing workstations, as well as our online 3D printing service. Or get crafty with our multitude of sewing machines, vinyl cutter, button makers, and 'zine-making materials.
Our knowledgeable staff can assist with many aspects of the process from idea to finished prototype.
ProtoSpace is located on Level 1 in suite MLIB 1705.
Marriott Library's many Media Studios are designed to support a variety of University of Utah students, staff, and faculty media projects.
The Video Studio and Audio Studio are professional-grade locations within ProtoSpace on Level 1. Our in-house engineering team can support curriculum development, coursework, and other mission-critical projects.
The newly updated Simple Recording Studio can be self-scheduled and used without any prior knowledge of media equipment.
Podcast Booths are equipment with high-end microphones and a mixer board that can export sound files to your personal devie. The Podcast Booths can be found on Level 2, in the 2750 group study space, and are also self-scheduled.
