Small Scale Fabrication

Fabrication Options

The Marriott Library has several small scale fabrication options for patrons wishing to cut vinyl or work with fabric.

ProtoSpace Sewing Tables Numbered Sewing Stations

  • Vinyl cutter
    • Cuts a variety of vinyl materials and thicknesses
    • Users must provide their own material - at least 8"x10" recommended for best results

  • Janome HD 3000 sewing machines (4)
    • General purpose sewing for most fabrics and projects
    • Users must provide their own fabric and thread

  • Juki TL-15 quilting machine
    • Semi-industrial straight-stitch machine for quilting, piecing, and heavy fabrics
    • Sews up to 1,500 stitches per minute with adjustable speed control
    • Drop feed for free motion quilting; automatic thread trimmer
    • Users must provide their own fabric and thread

  • Juki MO-2800 serger
    • 2/3/4 thread overlock machine producing seven stitch types
    • Jet-air threading and automatic needle threader for easy setup
    • Adjustable differential feed and easy rolled hemming
    • Users must provide their own fabric and thread

  • Janome Memory Craft 550E embroidery machine
    • Machine embroidery with hoop sizes up to 7.9" x 14.2"
    • Users must provide their own fabric and thread
  • Sailrite sewing machine
    • Heavy-duty sewing for canvas, sailcloth, upholstery, and other thick materials
