Anne Marie Oborn

Anne Marie Oborn was born in Pocatello, Idaho in 1949. She is a plein-air, impressionist painter specializing in still life, landscape, and traditional figures. She lives in Bountiful, Utah.

Oborn earned a BFA from Idaho State University in 1973. She also studied with Adrian van Suchtelen of Utah State University. She has written on technique, composition, and color choice for several national art magazines.

Brigham Young University Museum of Art acquired two of her paintings for its permanent collection.  Snow Balls in the Sun (1989) is part of the Springville Museum of Art's permanent collection. Her work is represented by Hope Gallery and Williams Fine Art in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Anne Marie Oborn (1949-), of Pocatello, Idaho (c.1970), and Bountiful, Utah, is a color-impressionist plein-air, still-life, and landscape painter and traditional figure painter and drawing specialist who studied with Sergei Bongart and Utah State University artist Adrian Van Suchtelen. She is versed in the use of oils and drawing with charcoal.
