Lisle Brown Papers (Ms 570)
The Lisle Brown Papers (1876-1953) contains materials relating to the Indian Wars on the northern plains (1876-1877),
particularly the Battle of Little Big Horn and Chief Joseph's Nez Pierce battles. Materials include six journals and three
typescripts of reminiscences by people present at the battles, as well as two written histories concerning specific and events
and individuals within the Battle of Little Big Horn. Summaries of the diaries, narratives, and histories are available, as
is an indexed register.
