Hans Olsen Magleby Diaries (Ms 47)
The Hans Olsen Magleby Diaries (1855-1875), written while he was in
the Dramen jail in Norway where he was serving as a missionary for the
Mormon Church, relate events that occurred while Magleby and his wife
sailed to the United States and traveled to Utah in a handcart company.
Magleby (1835-1875) and his wife converted to the Mormon Church in 1855.
He eventually served an LDS mission to Norway, where he was jailed for
holding religious meetings. A register is available.
