"Race Problems--As They Affect the Church" (1954) is a 19-page typescript of the text of a talk, given at the Convention of
Teachers of Religion on the College Level (held at Brigham Young University), by Mark E. Petersen (1900-1984), then an apostle
of the Mormon Church. Topics discussed in the address include Petersen's belief that African Americans wanted "absorption
