The Abraham Hoagland Cannon Diaries (1879-1896) comprise nineteen volumes that document the life and activities of Cannon (1859-1896), an LDS apostle, missionary, writer, businessman. The diaries discuss the relations between the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Utah territorial government; economic conditions of the period; the inner workings of the LDS Church's First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve, the widely dispersed interests of the family of George Q. Cannon, and the difficulties of living in a polygamous relationship. An indexed register is available.
