The Simon Bamberger Family Papers (1874-1970) consists of correspondence, mementos, and news and magazine clippings regarding Utah Governor Simon Bamberger (1846?-1926), his family, and the Bamberger Railroad. Bamberger was Governor during the war years of 1916-1920. Included in the collection are business, political, and family correspondence, including letters from Woodrow Wilson, fellow governors, and prominent members of the Democratic Party; a selection of political cartoons concerning the Bamberger administration; and letters, mementos, news clippings, scrapbooks, and other documents regarding Julian Bamberger and other family members. The Bamberger Railroad material is a collection of news clippings and memorabilia, and a holograph history of the 1890s beginnings of the Bamberger line. An indexed register is available.
