Accn 1414 Founded by Joe Quinney and the Salt Lake Winter Sports Association in 1938, Alta is one of the oldest ski areas in Utah. It was also a prosperous mining community before skiing became popular. The Alta Ski Area Records (1948-1994) contain correspondence, industry studies, pamphlets and brochures, news clippings, and photostats of legal documents. Size: .5 lin. ft.
