Library acquisitions departments, who buy books all day, use these AcqWeb links to find Amazon-like sites worldwide and to search rare and second-hand booksellers.

Find me another book just like this   or   What do I read next?

Think of a book you like; these will suggest other books which might appeal to you. Librarians call this "readers' advisory"; booksellers call a similar technique "hand-selling". Some of these sites are interactive, so it's like having a knowledgeable bookperson respond directly to you. Other sites are thematic lists of recommendations. Most feature the type of novels found in public libraries or general bookstores.
