The Sage Point computer lab is one of two serving the Residence Halls area at the University of Utah. This computer lab has friendly, knowledgeable staff who are always willing to help if any problems arise. The lab is available to all University of Utah students, faculty, and staff. This lab requires all users to log in using a University Network ID (uNID).
This computer lab has 25 PCs and 10 Apple Macintosh computers available for general student use and 1 PC and 1 Macintosh with scanners reserved for image editing. The open area has a white board, projector, and projection screen that may be used in special circumstances for presentations to small groups. There is also a teaching lab with 25 PCs running Windows available for students, as well as one PC for instructors. The teaching lab has audiovisual equipment including a VCR, DVD Player, and stereo speakers, a white board, a projection screen, and a projector that can project data from the instructor's workstations or a laptop. The computers in both parts of the lab may print to an HP Laserjet 9000 printer.
The teaching lab may be reserved for use by university groups by contacting Thomas Ferrill at 801-792-0464. Requests for reservation of the open lab during times when it is normally not open may be considered. View the monthly schedule.
