Donna Harp Ziegenfuss

Donna Harp Ziegenfuss is an Associate Librarian in Graduate and Undergraduate Services in the Marriott Library.
She has an EdD in Academic Leadership/Higher Education, an MS degree in Applied Technology/Instructional Design, and a BS degree in Medical Technology. She relocated to Salt Lake City in 2008 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She is a 'boundary crosser' with a wide range of experience that includes teaching in traditional, hybrid, and online formats, as well as, working in academic libraries, teaching and learning centers, technology-integration centers, and clinical research labs. As a boundary crosser, Donna relies on relationship building and partnerships to see broader educational connections and values the potential of interdisciplinary perspectives for designing integrative and engaging learning environments.
Her research interests focus on library and technology-based instructional planning, course design, assessment and evaluation, academic leadership, STEM education, and qualitative research. She is interested in active and inquiry-based learning, as well as, exploring new teaching and learning environments. Outside of work, she co-teaches a MOOC, enjoys uncovering family secrets through genealogy research, and will be forever renovating her over 100-year-old arts & crafts bungalow.
