Thinking about buying a letterpress or have one that
is giving you reason to wish Gutenberg had never been
born? Don’t despair! Crank through the “how-to’s”
during in-depth lecture, discussion, and demonstration.
Compare the features of various cylinder presses and
the methods by which presses are identified. Learn the
process of keeping a press in top condition and understand
the interrelated mechanics involved. Learn the names
and functions of press parts and common press repairs.
Paul
Moxon is a letterpress printer in Birmingham, Alabama.
He holds an MFA in book arts from the University of
Alabama and teaches workshops across the nation. His
book work is included in several public and private
