Knowledge Commons

The Marriott Library Knowledge Commons is the largest technology and reference assistance facility on the University of Utah campus. The Knowledge Commons combines technology, with over 250 computers, with reference and research assistance offered by the Library staff. There are over 300 software applications, video editing suites, scanners, audio-visual equipment, plus glass study rooms to allow students to work on a variety of class assignments or high technology projects. The staff consists of student consultants, librarians, and IT staff members who can provide any type of reference or technology assistance. The Knowledge Commons is also responsible for administering the eight new technology classrooms on the first floor, which feature state of the art multimedia presentation displays.
