Thursday September 10, 2009
10:45 a.m.
Hinckley Institute of Politics (255 OSH)
The J. Willard Marriott Library and the Hinckley Institute of Politics are pleased to host Former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating as the guest lecturer for the 2009 September Project and as a Hinckley Fellow.
Governor Keating won national acclaim in 1995 for his compassionate and professional handling of the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal building in Oklahoma City. In the aftermath of the tragedy, he raised more than six million dollars to fund scholarships for the nearly 200 children left with only one or no parents.
Keating’s other accomplishments as Governor include winning a public vote on right-to-work, tort reform, tax cuts, major road building, and education reform.
This lecture is free and open to the public.
