Friends & Visitors

Joyce OgburnWelcome to the Marriott Library! Whether you’re visiting via the Internet or are planning a trip to our building, you will find a wealth of services and collections at your disposal.

Even while in the midst of a major renovation project, the library is open regular library hours. We encourage your patronage. Many come to the library to experience the treasures in our Special Collections department. Papyrus from ancient Egypt, original pioneer diaries and maps, and antique photographs from Utah and the west are just a few examples of what you can see on the 5th floor. Of course, you can view some of these intriguing collections online through our digital collections. In this day of information overload, librarians are extremely helpful in navigating electronic resources, including the Internet. Feel free to call or e-mail us. We also offer a number of lectures, which are free and open to the public.

We rely on donations to provide us with the means to do extraordinary things. Our Book Arts Program, one of our crown jewels, reaches over 20,000 students (K-12, college, and community members) and subsists solely on private donations. We also use private funds to purchase rare and valuable collections, and private donations are necessary to complete our Renovation Building Project.

Thank you for your interest in the Marriott Library. Enjoy your visit to our wonderful library. If you have any reason to call, please feel free to contact us.
