Notices of Friends lectures: Speakers for the 2011-2012 Sunday Afternoon Books & Authors Series and Wednesday Film series will be announced in late August or early September.
Invitations to A Book Collector's Evening: The Book Collector’s Evening, established in 2011, is a way to bring together book collectors and book lovers in support of the Marriott Library and the book collecting community. This year’s event will be held again at the Alta Club in downtown Salt Lake City on March 28 at 6:00 pm and will feature a silent auction of rare and out-of-print books, a social hour, dinner and speakers Michael Vincent and Ken Sanders, local book dealers with national reputations.
Invitations to the Friends Spring Banquet: The Friends Spring Banquet is held every April. This year, Dr. Sarah George, Executive Director of the University’s Natural History Museum of Utah will be the featured speaker. The April 10th, 2012 banquet will be held at the University of Utah’s Alumni House.
