Christian Eisele (1854-1919), a German itinerant painter, immigrated to the United States in 1869. He painted romantic realist landscape and cityscape views over a wide geographical area; was in Utah in 1887 and then again in the period from 1891 to 1900; and died in Oregon City, Oregon.
