Referring to its predecessor, the Uintah Standard, the Roosevelt Standard proclaims in its first issue, "The Standard is born again, unfurled this time to remain!" And remain it did until merging with the Uintah Basin Record to form the Uintah Basin Standard in 1957.

The Utah Digital Newspapers Program would like to extend its most sincere thanks to the Uintah Basin Standard for the loan of their original newspapers for the creation of this collection.
