Fiction and nonfiction that reflects the time period & themes of the miniseries. Historical events (from a British point of view) covered include the sinking of the Titanic, World War I and its aftermath, Women's Suffrage, the Irish Revolution, and the flu epidemic.

The success of Larsson's "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo," as well as Henning Mankell's Wallander series, has created a big demand for Scandinavian (or Nordic, if you count Iceland, which we do) crime fiction.
