Electronic Laboratory Notebooks
Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) also known as virtual workspaces, or virtual organizations are used to manage data, documentation, and to simplify organization. They provide data management services, provenance (history of data collected, manipulated, and analyzed to prevent accusations of fraud), easy access to other research, and data repository services.
