Women Writers Online Database of pre-Victorian women's writing. The initial release of Women
Writers Online includes over 200 English texts by women written before
1830, with a broadly interdisciplinary range of subjects and genres. Together
with poetry, fiction, and drama, the collection includes women's contributions
to religious and political debates, and to science, history, philosophy
and medicine. The collection offers broad coverage of authors from many
different backgrounds, those of recognized stature and those whose work
is still unknown, selected with the aim of presenting texts which are
